Lochbuie is one of the most beautiful spots on the Isle of Mull. It has everything you could possibly want from an island tour: mountains, lochs, mystical standing stones, a castle as well as the potential to see Highland Coos (but no guarantee). It’s also off the main tourist track so access is only via private transport.

  • A beautiful scenic drive along Lochs Spelve and Uisg

  • Lochbuie Standing Stone Circle which dates back to the Bronze Age

  • Lunch at the Old Post Office with stunning views of Lochbuie

The Essentials

  • Total walking time 2 - 4 hours (tailored to each tour)

  • Aside from its beauty Lochbuie can be one of the wettest parts of the island so waterproof clothing is essential

  • Bring good footwear as the path to the stones can be quite boggy
